DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES

Since,1982 the AKVN has been actively engaged in various development activities, conducting industrial potential survey and development, planning and implementation of industrial estates/ growth centres in nearby areas.

So far MPAKVN (Indore) Ltd has developed five industrial estates/growth centres namely:-

-  Growth Centre, Pithampur, Dist.Dhar.
-  Growth Centre, Kheda, Dist. Dhar.
-  Growth Centre, Meghnagar, Dist.Jhabua.
-  Growth Centre, Maksi, Dist. Shajapur.
-  Industrial Area, Dewas, Dist. Dewas.

Two Integrated Insdustrial Development Centres one in Nimrani (Distt. Khargone) & another in Jaggakhedi (Distt. Mandsaur) are have been sanctioned by Government of India & development work has also been started in these centres. Similarly, food processing park is being established in Mandsaur. Further one more growth centre Jaora in Dist. Ratlam is under active planning.

Among the various growth centres developed so far, by the MPAKVN (Indore) Phenomenal success of growth centre Pithampur is well Known.

Administrative Strength

The corporation is managed through Board of Directors, besides the regular management and administration under the directions of a whole time Managing Director.

Board of the corporation comparises directors nominated by the state government from different departments concerned with Industrial development as below:

-  Commissioner Industries, M.P.
-  Chief Engineer, M.P. Electricity Board.
-  Special Secretary Finance, Govt. of M.P.
-  Dy Secretary Commerce and Industries, Govt. of M.P.
-  Chief Engineer, Public Health Engineering Department, Government of M.P.
-  Regional Manager, M.P. Finance Corporation.
-  Join Director, Town & Country Planning.
-  Chief Engineer, Irrigation Department.

Besides the nominated Directors & designated Managing Director, the Managing Director of the holding company (MPSIDC) is the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Corporation has well organised staffing pattern for administrative and engineering activities.

Present AKVN staff, comprises 100 persons in administration and 300 persons in various engineering branches including field staff at various growth centers.

FINANCIAL STRENGTH

The Corporation AKVN has also sound financial base and capabilities. Present share capital and equity base of the corporation is Rs. 500.00 lakhs. The entire share capital has been contributed by State Govt. through M.P. State Industrial Development Corporation. Thus AKVN Indore is a state government company. The total assets of the corporation are worth approx. Rs.100.00 lakhs in different growth centres Since all development work i.e. construction of road, surface drain , culverts & building & water supply scheme is executed on behalf of State Government the same is not included in assets of corporation.

Besides, the corporation has full support and open hearted co operation for all its development activities from the parent company M.P. State Industrial Development Corporation as well as from the State Government.
